THE ADAM CORPORATION, AMERICAN MOMENTUM BANK AND MIRAMONT COUNTRY CLUB ANNOUNCE "PLAY HOOKY FOR HARVEY" FUNDRAISING EFFORT

BRYAN, TexasThe Adam Corporation, American Momentum Bank and Miramont Country Club have announced a fundraising initiative that will welcome interested golfers to play at Miramont's renowned golf course. All proceeds will go to One America Appeal (www.oneamericaappeal.org), which is coordinated by the George H. Bush Presidential Library Foundation located in College Station. Its mission is to aid victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida. All funds received will be matched by The Adam Corporation and American Momentum Bank and contributed to One America Appeal.

The fundraiser, called "Play Hooky for Harvey," will allow any golfer to play at Miramont from Monday, October 30 to Thursday, November 2 for a fee of $125 per individual player.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer golfers the opportunity to play at a beautiful and exclusive golf course for a great cause," said Miramont General Manager Aaron Dawson. "We've all been touched and inspired by the numerous scenes we have witnessed of people helping one another in the aftermath of the storms. To see the devastation and then the outpouring of help has been both heartbreaking and uplifting. But there is still so much to be done in Houston, throughout the Gulf Coast region and along the coast of Florida."

Hurricane Harvey, which came ashore on August 25, was the most powerful hurricane to hit Texas in more than 50 years. In a recent assessment, Texas Governor Greg Abbott projected damage from $150 billion to $180 billion, calling it more costly than epic Hurricanes Katrina or Sandy, which devastated New Orleans in 2005 and New York City in 2012, respectively. Hurricane Irma, which hit Florida on September 10, was the most intense Atlantic hurricane to strike the United States since Katrina. Chuck Watson, an analyst with the disaster research group Enki Research, estimated that Irma caused approximately $172 billion in total damage.

The waters have receded, but the restoration process is still in its beginning stages. The Adam Corporation has businesses in the states of Texas and Florida and identified One American Appeal as the charitable organization in which to direct its relief efforts. One American Appeal is a joint appeal by all five living former American Presidents (Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama), encouraging citizens to support Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma recovery efforts in both Texas and Florida.

"I can't thank Mr. and Mrs. Don and Donna Adam and their companies enough for supporting this fundraising effort," said Dawson. "The Adam family truly has a heart of gold."
