My company is basically spending all our time finding water, buying it, and loading it on volunteer trucks to get it down to the coast. Galveston, Beaumont, and South Texas, have very little potable water, and in many cases, almost none.

This afternoon, I helped load two trailers with 574 cases of water (one of the drivers is class of 2006, btw). At 45 bottles per case, that's 25,830 bottles of water. It's the third time this week that I have loaded a trailer. Sum total, I have loaded 45 pallets of water, and other people at my work have loaded one or two trailers themselves, also.

So, we're VERY serious about getting this accomplished and helping these folks.

We're working to contact bottling companies and other places to get our hands on a more reliable supply line than just going to each Costco and Sam's every couple of days. Does anyone have any contacts at a bottling company or a distributorship that might have a steady supply available for purchase. Ideally they can transport, but if not we have loads of people ready to help us transport or find transport.

This doesn't just end at water, by the way. We're hoping to source things like peanut butter, diapers, clothes, basically anything that these folks need.

We're in the process of setting up a site and a way for all the people who have said they want to help and donate to do so. It will be run through our 501c3 that we have established.

Anyone with good contacts on sourcing supplies, transport, or whatever else, please leave a reply or PM me.

Call Culligan in College Station. Ask for James Garner. He might be willing to help out a bit. Probably not the volume you are looking for, but might be of some help.

Lots of people bought water that didn't end up needing it. Put the word out to ask for it,

The Costco in the woodlands had more cases of water than I've ever seen.

In times past Anheiser Busch has canned water in beer cans. I suppose they are down for the count in Houston, could Miller can water in beer cans and ship it south from Ft. Worth?

We've been receiving Anheiser Bush and Miller Coors water cans, in addition to the normal players.
