I'm not there, just asking for general observations from where you are.

Are you seeing things start to recede?

Per ACOE, Barker Reservoir is not expected to begin receding prior to September 7th, under the best conditions and with no additional rainfall.

I'm in Katy around Falcon Point...basically half way between 10 and 1093. I a block west of Grand Parkway.

Receded from our surrounding bayous and streets are dry.

Today I drove from West Houston I10 @ Barker to 99 to 59N to Livingston, to Artesian Lakes, back to 59, to 99 to 45S to Bellaire down Westpark to 99 to I10.

What I saw shocked me. No visible signs of flooding. The visible water in almost all areas is gone. I am talking it may have looked like a 2" rain hit in places... but that is about it.

Barker Reservoir is my back yard... my neighborhood goes down in level with the reservoir... about 2-3" a day. Because of what I see in here... I just figured it was that way everywhere.

Have a link by any chance? I'm sure that's correct, just haven't seen any official estimate.

I live on Barker Reservoir. The lakes in our subdivision rose when the reservoir rose to the spillway or pipe level.

I can assure you the reservoir is going down on our end because I am sitting on my back porch, drinking coffee and enjoying my new lakefront home.

It has gone down a little more than 1 foot since it peaked Tuesday evening.

Did you not flood there? That would be a surprise. A good surprise, but a surprise none the less
