JJ Watt Foundation is where my money went. JJ is a big part of this city, I trust it'll go where it's needed with his input. The Tennessee Titans donated $1,000,000 to it if you needed any evidence it's not a scam.

I donated to JJs fundraiser as well. He is using it to buy resources to give directly to families. While orgs like Red Cross do great work and have relatively low overhead expenses, JJs is 100% towards the mission which is impossible to beat.

Happy to support a guy like him that does so much for our city

Yup, donated to JJ's campaign as well.

I've also got a good friend who's a pastor in Galveston, and they're already on the ground feeding first responders and helping people in the community clean up (video from him here and here). You can find their info and give at http://saltyculture.com/ and http://www.valiantchurch.com/, and feel free to PM if you want direct contact info.

Additionally, you know JJ is going to Houston. Red Cross often collects lots of money during catastrophic events, and some ends up going to other things. Nothing wrong with that because less catastrophic disasters don't generate the $ but still need the help.

Most churches in the area are taking donations, including mine: http://www.wubc.org. And you can never go wrong with the Salvation Army.

I am putting together a BTHO Hurricane Harvey Benefit Concert in two weeks in Bryan/College Station. Stay tuned for more information about the concert. In the meantime, we are starting to raise money NOW. You can donate money directly and securely to Samaritan's Purse, a 501(c)3 through this page. All money donated on this page goes to the organization...we aren't using any of it to put on the concert. Samaritan's Purse has a 96.32 rating on Charity Navigator and is currently on the ground in Texas doing great work. Our goal is $5,000. Every bit helps! Thanks and gig 'em!

100% of proceeds directly to local victims impacted by Harvey. Funds go through NBRI (Christian based non profit). We have a significant volunteer group as well who are meeting immediate needs. Many devastated homes and people with immediate needs.

Kennedy Fabricating is an Aggie-owned and operated 2nd generation business with over 300 employees. Most of our community (Splendora) was under water
