I posted this yesterday on the Outdoors Board, guess I should have posted it here.
"I know population-wise is pales in comparison to the Brazos and Colorado issues, but thought everyone downstream from Lake Livingston should know that Trinity River Authority is discharging 110,600 cfs and has been since about 1PM, which ties the record set during October 1994. The lake is still over two feet higher than normal.
Polk and San Jacinto Counties have received an incredible amount of rainfall and this will unfortunately be making it's way through already waterlogged areas of south Polk, Hardin, Liberty and Chambers counties.
Everyone be careful and stay safe."
Since I posted this yesterday TRA has not changed the discharge, so this wall of water is coming and will be for a while. For some perspective, at noon Saturday they were releasing 8,000 cfs.
