If you need up to date info on road closures, here are some helpful sites.... (I didn't code them, but am familiar with the TXDOT site from the back side, and it is updated with a high frequency.)
I had relatives getting out yesterday and used these to help guide them out. Your best bet is to compare all 3, to get as much info as possible concerning if your selected route out of there is open. Even then, be careful!!!!!
Drive Texas: (click on closure/flood segments for info on which side of the roadway)
Closure lines are dark blue.....water over road lines are light blue.
