Has anyone heard if NRG Stadium is going to be opened as a shelter? I can't think of a bigger space in the area that could he utilized.

INthink the goings on during Katrina in the Superdome will likely keep them from doing this.
The Astrodome could be open, but I think you're better off under an overpass.
They moved this weekends LSU/BYU game, so it no longer has that conflict.
Ed Emmett said on an interview that they're using for medical evacuees.
Given its size, I can't believe this county owned facility isn't being fully utilized.
NRG was opened as evac. center at 10 pm last night. Think you must register at the GRB and then will be transfered.
