Updated Brazos at Richmond model has lowered crest height to 57.5!

Any thoughts on when those in the evac areas of Sugar Land can relax some? Oyster Creek levels behind my home in First Colony have visually dropped today and the rain has slowed/stopped. Should we expect it to rise again significantly based on what's going on with the Brazos? Would think the 1.5ft drop is significant enough to take some of these neighborhoods out of danger.

Or Riverstone? Thoughts that the floods there will go past the currently affected neighborhood(s) at this point?

I'm in LID 2 (basically at Lexington and 6), and the Brazos River inundation map had this area as OK (no pink or purple areas), even with the 58' model. The projected crest of 57.5 feet is welcome news.

Not sure about Riverstone.

Y'all need to remember that once the river crests, water will have a hard time flowing out of the ditches in neighborhoods.

Does anyone know if Austin Parkway is passable by truck from Hwy 6 to Austin Parkway elementary school?

I'm about to get out for a bit (I'll be in an F-250) and I'll post after I check.

Austin Parkway is still blocked from Hwy 6. You can make the left turn into the HEB, but that's it.

From the other direction, you can make it as far as Lakefield, but there is high water there, too. I turned around at that point. The streets in the subdivision running along Austin Parkway at Lakefield looked flooded as well.

Thanks Bonfired, very much appreciate the update, the in-laws are wanting to get back home but looks like it's going to be at least tomorrow. Thanks again!
