Does anyone know if the Sagemont subdivision in far SE Houston (basically at 45 and the Beltway) had flooded homes? Pearland is close enough that I thought someone from the area might know. I grew up there and our house had water twice in '79 and during Allison in '01. My folks have since passed on so no one I know there now, so just curious about how that area faired. I'm guessing not very well given the history.

Yes, Sagemont has flooding. Got in touch with an old friend whose parents flooded twice in 79, and she said her mom's home hasd at least 3 feet of water--a foot higher than in 79.

Thanks for the reply. Our house had close to 2' for Claudette in '79 (I was 14 at the time), so probably close to 3' this time for the people living there now it sounds like.

Could be more. Seems like waters are starting to recede. We'll know soon.

Posting again, it was on previous page. Thought no one might see it.

Does anyone know if the area around Country Grove Circle got water in their houses? One person said someone was evacuated from Brookside kinda close to there.

The Gas Dude at 96 and Walker had gas. There were people at the pumps but I asked a lady and she said it wasn't pumping so I went across the street. There were still people at Stripes when I left so maybe she just didn't know what she was doing.

Was helping do some demo work in League City today in the a small neighborhood off of 518 - The Park at Clear Creek. Clear Creek runs right by it and they were hit pretty hard.

It was sad to see all the carpet, flooring, drywall and possessions being ripped out of peoples houses in just about every single yard. But the amount of people that turned out to help their friends and family was amazing - it was difficult to get in and out of the neighborhood because cars lined the streets, they were cut down to one lane and traffic was constantly meeting each other head on in the other direction. LCPD had to come in and direct traffic for a while, and after that others had to help. I hope this spirit of volunteerism endures for a while. A lot of people are going to need help.

My section of Autumn Creek was pretty much the same way. It was sad that so many lost so much, but the amount of support and sense of community was awesome.

There going to be people working There today as well I assume? I've got my daughter but can bring a wheelbarrow and shovels and what not if need be
I would certainly assume so. I'm headed to Nassau Bay to help a friend in about an hour or so and will try to reply if I see vehicles there (I'll drive right by it). As mentioned, had to have LCPD out directing traffic yesterday it was so packed.

Still looks like quite a bit activity there. About a mile west of I45 on north side of 518. Any of those neighborhoods on north side of 518 along Clear Creek could probably use help.

Sorry I'm late to the thread. I honestly haven't really looked at TexAgs in a week. Please read below...

I am working with a church in League City. We are currently operating as a free store for anyone. We are taking orders and delivering to those who don't have transportation. We have been doing this since Sunday. Some of us haven't really even seen our families other than the hour before sleep and the first waking hour. We are all blessed however to have dry homes, so definitely not complaining.

I never thought I would be dumb enough to do this, but my name is Clint Sarno. All of you reading this PLEASE find me on Facebook and friend me or just find the post on my page about anyone needing help. It gives our hotline number. It is public so you can share it. Please share so as many people as possible can see.

I probably won't be back on texags until late tonight, but if anyone needs anything PM me.

I am very grateful that my daughter and son-inlaw's house in Southern Trails stayed dry. I told them that the engineer that designed the subdivision should drink free for the rest of his life. All of those who weren't so fortunate have my sincerest sympathies.

I'm gonna be out over on falling leaf/Cowart creek area tomorrow helping some friends clean up. I have a pickup and don't mind hauling off larger items like sofas. However, where on earth are we supposed to *take* it???

Do I have to show proof of residency? I know in Bryan I did but I figure they'd waive that considering the mess we're all in?

Planning to take some supplies from College Station to Friendswood tomorrow. Per drivetexas.com, it look like we will need to take 290 to 610 to 45. Does anyone know if 610 is open on this side? It is marked in red on drivetexas.com, but I cannot figure out what that means!

Fyi, supposedly some bigwig dignitary is coming into town and may be tieing up the east side of Pearland for a good chunk of the day. Not sure who it is, but thought I'd pass on the info for those of you planning on traversing the town tomorrow.

No clue. I'll post more when I know, but I'm pretty sure it'll be on the news by that point.

I'm hearing First Church of Pearland, but still no word on who and at exactly what time. I've only heard sometime between 9am-3pm.

Well 518 was solid traffic from Pearland parkway headed towards Friendswood so something is up.

Water got in the floorboards of my car. Any recommendations on a good body shop or other place to take it to get it cleaned out and fixed? We're in Friendswood
