Lol yea we definitely should - whether it be Golfcrest or elsewhere. I drove by the entrance to Green Tee earlier today and it was impassible because of Clear Creek. I have no idea what it is like now.

My house backs up to the lake and I just looked over the fence. Water is now spilling onto the sidewalk in some areas. My parents live on Freestone like yours, and the water also only has come into their yard. Hope both of them are able to be dry throughout this.

Also Lakes at Country Place. So far I've got a total of 35.5" since this event started Friday, mid-day.

From 12pm (8/28) to 8:47pm (8/28), I gathered 6.5" of rain for the time period. Since then, 8:47pm (8/28) to 12:23am (8/29) I gathered about 1.25". So the good news could be that it's slowing down in our area, the bad news is that it's still raining.

The water has actually receded about a foot down my driveway, which is nice. I cruised around on the kayak earlier today and for the most part the entire neighborhood is looking pretty good. There's definitely a crap-ton of water on the Clear Creek side, but luckily it seems to be moving at a good pace and there isn't much upstream that we have to be worried about.

On a positive note, met a few Ags out and about the hood and will no doubt have some new drinking buddies when all this is over with.

Did have some friends in Southdown (closer to Dawson) that decided to evacuate to higher ground. They didn't have water in the home yet, but it was getting really close. I've heard numerous people in Brookside are having to evacuate or have already done so. My brother works for the city water dept. and they've been running around yesterday and today rescuing people from their homes.

While I'm thankful for our situation, my heart and prayers go out to everyone who's been affected by this storm and the folks out there assisting with the rescue efforts.

Water level stayed steady on my street last night. I put it in God's hands and slept like a log. Thank you, Lord.

Houston Humane Society has staff there but their outdoor areas are flooded. A high profile truck could probably get to my house in SCR, and my backyard is above water. They could camp with us.

Clear Creek was rising at about 2" per hour until about 4am, and has leveled off since then.

http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=HGX&gage=HCCT2&refresh=true

I was watching it closely overnight as my inlaws are in that little neighborhood in the old part of town between Hwy 3/RR Tracks/Clear Creek/518.

City of Friendswood update this morning:

Harvey Update Tuesday 6:45am
Date:
August 29, 2017
In the City of Friendswood, emergency operations continue and normal operations are suspended.
Multiple roads are closed. Roads at the creeks are impassable at the creeks. Ambulances cannot access hospitals. The Harris and Galveston sides of Friendswood are closed off from each other.
An estimated one-third of the homes (possibly 3,000) in Friendswood have flood water inside. About 1,000 homes have no power. Damage assessments will not begin until the water recedes.
There is an urgent need for medical supplies, medical equipment, and trained medical personnel at Friendswood High School, where residents of an evacuated nursing home are staying. A request has been sent to the State of Texas to relocate them.
Friendswood High School has 152 total evacuees. Calvary Houston Church has less than 100. Wedgewood Elementary School has 70 evacuees. The Friendswood Activity Building has 20 people.
A building at the corner of South Friendswood Drive and East Shadowbend (formerly the King's Kids Center) is being prepared to receive and distribute donations.
A 10pm to dawn curfew remains in effect until further notice.

What are you guys seeing for rain totals?

I'm measuring 38" cumulative as of 9:48am (8/29) since Friday, mid-day, but my pitcher was topped out and I may have missed some overnight. Still, 38" is a ridiculous amount of rain for 3.5 days.

Same here in Pearland. It isn't as intense, but it's still raining nevertheless. It looks like it's starting to clear up to the South of us so hopefully that continues. Everyone could use the break.

Silver Creek engineers deserve a raise. Whole neighborhood has handled the storm really well. Only issue has been some entrances collecting water.
Dude, you ain't kidding! I can't believe our street hasn't flooded at all. I'm tempted to put the house on the market for $1,000,000 after this saying we stayed dry during Harvey!
What street are you guys on? We're on quiet Meadow in the back of Silvercreek and I'm amazed and thankful it's been good here.

I've been using 5-gallon buckets and a 2-gallon watcher pitcher. I've had to dump the bucket twice so far. Insane.

It's false. My brother works in the water dept. and said this is bs. He's not sure where it got started.

Rumors are the worst. People on our Facebook heard about the breach down in southern Brazoria and the resulting evacuation, and freaked out that Pearland was being evacuated. Caused a big stir. Dummies.

We've got friends down the road from you on Aspen Ln who've been high and dry. That whole area has done a really good job of staying dry.

Interestingly enough, that whole area was originally rice fields, so it's been designed to flood and drain effectively. Helps that Mustang and Chocolate Bayous are nearby.

Technically not Pearland, but the area north of us inside the BW got hit hard - Morningside Place, Brunswick, etc.

Scott and Cullen are still underwater in those areas. Constables have boats and dispatch running people out.

2234 past County Place is covered - we couldn't reach Cullen from that direction. The feeder roads on 288 have a number of low areas in some spots and stalled out cars. BW and 288 feeder is a no go. Almeda Genoa was clear.

I'll post any other route info I see.

We are off 2351 in Friendswood in a rental house that has come no where close to flooding (God bless this little house) while we build in Creekwood Estates. We were supposed to pour the foundation today. The good news is even though the lot backs up the Chigger Creek the water has not gone over the foundation dirt and our future neighbors along the creek have not flooded.

We tried to get to FHS to drop of clothes, cots, and toys but couldn't make it. My husband dropped us off to go to HEB in East Pearland and made it out. Dropped off our donations at Pearland High School which is currently a shelter. He said the line at HEB was crazy and we don't need supplies that bad.

My sister works for HEB and told me they just helicoptered in mgmt and drivers to their Houston Distribution Center to get things up and going! Now we just need to get this water to drop soon or nobody's going anywhere.

Measured roughly 45" near Clear Lake City Blvd East of I45. My gauge overflowed Saturday night into Sunday morning so my total is short. Of course when you can measure the rainfall total in feet, I don't know how important a few inches is.

The seven day rain total for the depth gauge on Horse Pen Creek at Bay Area Blvd (next to Clear Lake High School) is currently 45.5".

I witnesses the 1998 flood on the Guadelupe River in Cuero. I thought I knew what a lot of water looked like. The amount of water that has fallen from the sky is beyond unreal.

For those that don't know, you can see live and historical data from all over Harris County at the Harris County Flood Warning System website.
