That's not a range. It will rise an additional 11', which will bring the total height to 72'.

You know it's an epic storm when Centerpoint's Outage Center website is down for the count. Been down for about 12 hours.

Comcast is down for us too, but otherwise fine with good street drainage. Briar Forest and Hayes (south of bayou, north of Westheimer, between Wilcrest and Kirkwood.)

How old are you? Creek? Hamilton? I grew up off grant on gardenglen. House never flooded but I have a lot of memories of cypress creek flooding

Former Hamilton/Creek checking in. Parents still out there. It's getting dicey all around that area. Parents live in a traditionally high ground which we will see if it stays that way.

Cypress Creek receded maybe 6" last night by my parents measurements. Hopefully it won't rebound too much today.

Got a friend who is part of FEMA's National IMAT (Incident Management Assessment Team) in Washington. They have been put on stand-by for development to SE Texas to assist the regional IMATs.

They get deployed when things look bad.
Friend were deployed to Houston yesterday. Taking over Operations at national level now.

We are at 25" of rain on the Upper East side, but everything is doing well as long as you were smart enough not to build on the banks of the San Jac River.

If there is a lull while the storm strengthens, how quickly can things safely drain before the rain comes in again?

Raining again in Cypress at Louetta & Grant. Dammit.
I grew up in that area in between Grant and Eldridge on Louetta. How are things there?
My buddy lives at grant/spring cypress (he's right in the S corner), water came up past the tree in his yard, but has since receded to the street.

Got it. Water will rise an additional 11 centimeters to a final depth of 72 miles.

Kidding obviously. Thanks for the clarification.

Was posted in the Outdoors board thread but just a reminder - if you have to wade through flood water or contact it in any way really, be careful about ticks and other insect bites and don't wipe your eyes or face with anything that has contacted flood water. Fellow poster cbr said on the Outdoors thread that he personally knows people who have had vision damage due to infections related to flooding.

Looks like the storm is moving back out to the gulf. I hope that if it does, it goes anywhere else but back here.

Aunt and Uncles house is just off Cedar Bayou in Baytown. Water is approaching the roof line. It is a total loss. Parents house is not too far off Cedar Bayou and water is starting to move in. Dad thinks water could be in house soon.

Things are actually looking pretty good here at 2920/Mueschke. The lull has allowed pretty much everything to drain. I think there are even some restaurants open.

My parents are doing the same. They back up to the reservoir and have moved stuff upstairs. Actually had about a half dozen deer earlier by the back fence

Not sure, right now it's mostly my MIL just not wanting to risk it later. We're only 20 mins away and dry so they're heading here
