What time of day was it? We heard around 2 or so that supposedly the Huffmeister and Telge exits were both underwater.

I'll be heading in first thing in the morning, and see how things look.

Family in New Territory says there is growing concern among residents about the Brazos.

She also said there are concerns (probably more like unsubstantiated rumors or fears) that the levees may fail.

They rolled into our place about 1ish.

Edit: if you're town lakes ish, you may be able to sneak in 99 to bridgeland then go across Tuckerton. Tuckerton has pretty good elevation. Not sure about a good route through bridgeland though.

Which Gauge you're want?


The one at heights blvd and I-10

right before the website went down, 15-20 minutes ago, it said it was 7.5 feet above banks. I didn't see how high it is though

I think that's around 37-40 feet. Thanks for looking that up

Before this last round of storms it had receded a little over pst 12 hours. Need the dry air NOW!

Oh and the FWS app that shows the rain gauge markers around town....

Just displayed an "out of service" for the guage at I-10 and heights blvd. Obviously under what no doubt.

My buddy lives on E Elm, hadn't got a report from him in a while. Tax Day flood got to his door but never in.

Same concerns at Greatwood and Sienna Plantation.

Hearing sienna plantation levees expected to fail and Brazos to crest 100 yr flood plain. Know someone that's bugging out of there tonight ahead of a likely evacuation.

Live here and heard nothing of the sort. Where are people getting this info? The last official word was a few hours ago and it's projected to rise about 2.5 to 3 feet below the levee.

Buddy of mine just texted me

"We are afraid the worst is coming. Lake Houston is already above the banks and if they release anything from Lake Conroe it comes down the San Jacinto river and into the lake that's probably a quarter mile from the house. "

This is correct. A d d I cks release is around dairy ashford and 10. Barker is 6 and 10. If they release water heads east to Buffalo Bayou through down town to the ship channel.

My parents live south of the Brazos in Richmond behind the levee. I've seen two mentions of levee concerns, are there multiple levees down there? I'm not sure where the various subdivisions are located compared to theirs.

I'm very concerned about them.

I'm actually in Riata Ranch, just Northeast of the Boardwalk. It was looking like earlier the Boardwalk and the Tuckerton/Barker intersection was flooded pretty good.

My folks have been in the same house in Pine Forest in Katy since '79 and it's NEVER flooded once.

When last I checked with them tonight, water wasn't in the house, but it was just about right up to the front door.

Sienna stables needs to evacuate tonight! They need large vehicles with the trailer hitches and horse trailers. This is the horse stables in sienna plantation and houses 20 to 30 horses. Location 8255 Camp Sienna Trail.

In Coles Crossing (barker cyp north of 290) and getting heavy rains, friends in back of the neighborhood off telge about to take on water if they haven't already.

Starting to get sketch at our house, checking water every hour out front.

Having a 3 month old really makes this a scarier event

Heights pouring again.

I just saw someone drive down the street headed west towards tc jester. Ran out into the street after them hoping to stop them.. raining so hard, i saw brake lights tap but then couldn't see them. Praying they turned into a driveway and I just couldn't tell.
