My wife got that same email. I told her to throw her company laptop in the bathtub. They can go **** themselves. She is not in a profession that would be considered "essential" by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm a Project Manager/Service Engineer for a manufacturing company off 290 and Bingle. They said the facility "weathered the storm well" so they think people will come. After Memorial Day/Tax Day floods only like 5-10% showed.

Couple of questions. My aunt and uncle are heading for the attic/roof. They are about 4-5 blocks from Brays Bayou next to Braeburn Country Club. They've got 3 ft of water in their 1 story home. I'm trying to convince them to call for rescue.
1. Does anyone know of definite road closures in this area? She's talking about trying to get their Tahoe to higher streets to bug out.
2. If I'm right and they should need rescue instead, any specific hook ups in that area? Several neighbors are already on the roof.

Unless they can access the roof. If there's a dormer window, they can. They definitely need to stay out of the Tahoe

Agree. They are going to have to be rescued anyways. At least they avoid cutting a hole in their roof if they call for help now.

Army Corp will release water from Attics at 2am. They contacted us at work. Supposed to raise the Buffalo Bayou by at least 3ft into downtown. Not sure if this has been posted or not.

My best friend is an HPD Lieutenant and said you should call 911. They prioritize the calls and have the rescue squads dispatched. This is part of their emergency management protocols. It helps them keep track of all who have called for rescue.
