I'm in Spring Branch, and our house has been spared so far, but every wave we get, the water is getting more and more backed up.

I know this is a long shot, but is anyone on here at or close to Memorial Dr and North Post Oak (just off 610), or have family/friends there? I have a buddy that works at MD Anderson, and he is stuck at the hospital, but lives at the townhomes at 357 N Post Oak Ln. He texted me asking if I had heard anything about how bad the area is. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it!

Dickinson apparently, heartbreaking.

So we are at the apartment complex here right next to channel 11 and the flood gate broke protecting the parking garage so now over 120 cars are in there filled with water... lawsuits are coming as the advertise these gates as protection

Does anyone have a link to coverage in Dickinson area? I have family there that evacuated (grandparents).

Anybody remember how this compares to Allison so far? I remember the rain pouring down for Allison similar to how it was last night, but I only recall about 2 days of rain. This is supposed to go on for another 3 days.

Friend heard that water is being shut off in Houston. Anyone heard similar? Sounds like rumor - can't find any confirmation but if true people need to know.

News is basically saying far worse, definetly much larger area of flooding

Good luck, this is more akin to an act of god than any kind of regular disaster.

i saw something earlier that asked to limit wastewater usage because systems were overloaded. but nothing about the water supply.

Mandatory evacuation in Brazoria County: West Columbia, Brazoria, Jones Creek, Sweeny, and other areas south of highway 6 and west of highway 288. Does not include Angleton, Lake Jackson, Clute, Freeport, or Richwood.

Evacuation route is hwy 35 west to hwy 71 north.

Friends in Dickinson had to put the pets in a cooler and swim out. The water was at their waist and still rising. Dickinson is in really bad shape.

Flood gauge site just went down for me. Caring less and less now that I'm drinking a Bloody Mary.

Maybe not all bad. I've got a daughter there. She told me about 4:45 this morning that water was within about 10 feet of her house.
But it never got in and has since receded.
