Why are people even asking if it's ok to drive to Houston!?!?
I hate to be an ass but are people really this stupid??
Wife just got an email from MD Anderson. Just now calling in ride out teams. She's relief team, but coworkers being told to find a way in right now. Night shift are the only ones there right now. Lobby already has water.
What they do is important but how in the world are they supposed to get there!?
It about keeping the air space clear for first responders helicopters.CDUB98 said:
**** the government.
As if they are going to spend time chasing down a droner.

Keep us posted CDUB - interested to see how the hood holds up. Have homes started to flood over near the bayou or has it been able to keep up?
thanks for the link. I'll pass on taking it out. Looks like rain for the foreseeable future anyways.GarlandAg2012 said:blindey said:
If the rain actually lets up, I'll take the drone out to get some footage of buffalo bayou. Everyone stay safe.
Might not be a good idea. Advised to not fly model aircraft unless it's approved.

If you really think about it, Houston is pretty much impossible to evacuate. Simply too many people. Rita was bad, and we've added another million+.

They told the day shift yesterday they could volunteer to stay at the hospital without pay. None on my wife's unit took the offer.

It is very bad down by the Bayou. Just drove over there. Was hoping there was a way to evacuate but pretty sure OF people are trapped in. Cars flooded 3/4 of the way up to roof on rossylin just south of tracks. I had a truck so thought maybe there was a chance of getting into the inlaws but don't think that's possible.

One day historians will look back and say that Houston & New Orleans were bad ideas.
