What is spring creek expected to do? Allison came close to flooding my mom's house. Wondering how this is expected to compare.

I'm in greatwood. Got 9", but been clear all morning because we are between two squall lines. No power outages or flooding. A few trees down. Power is out around Greatwood (new territory, first colony, etc), but all good here. PM me if you need anything or if you want me to do a drive by and check on things.

Spring Creek is one I'm watching the most. Flooded my daughter out of house in Tomball for over six months in May 2016. So far not bad, but...

Always assumed this was referring to "across length" at the established point (near 45N IIRC). Increased 11 foot since yesterday.

Last year it got up to 108'. Currently at 84.5'. Was at 74' yesterday. Keep in mind it got progressively worse last year as surrounding creeks flowed in & San Jac got backed up. The days following the storms were the worst.

Historic Crests
(1) 111.60 ft on 10/18/1994
(2) 108.30 ft on 05/30/1929
(3) 108.15 ft on 05/28/2016

Saw portions of Rayford were already flooded with Fox Run areas as well.

NW of us wouldn't be good. That's upstream and we're already pretty full.

So while we may not get the rain we may still get the floods.

Please tell me someone got video of that

That looks pretty encouraging. Hopefully this is just a lot of rain spread out so that it can drain.

We're lucky that the storm surge wasn't further north. The head of tide for Buffalo Bayou is the Shepard bridge and a strong wind from the gulf can affect the water level by 9-ft.

Still just day one of six or seven, though...
