Nocturnal Max is probably referring to intensification that happens just before sunrise where the temperature differential between water and air is the greatest. One of the meteorologists can chime in but I think that's what he's referring to.

Unfortunately rain falling west of Houston area flows this way and overflows the creeks in the Houston area.

No changes at 6pm, next update at 9pm.

Eye is expected to move ashore north of Corpus Christi, possibly over Rockport.

Heavy rainbands into southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning.

From before in Houston - 2-3 inches per day through Tuesday, 3-5 inches per day Wed/Thur as heads North west of us.

Tonight will see 30mph sustained and 55mpg gusts and drop from there.

Some forecasts are starting to say 10 inches for greater Houston spread over 4-5 days. That's manageable. The only issue we will have is a mosquito plague in 10 days.

Where do you think that water goes? How much faith do you have in the dams in the reservoirs just west of town.

Wow! You only over for a couple of weeks or a while? That separation especially stinks right now.
