Maps show some spots with water on the highway.

290 is closed until Sept. 1 south of Hempstead and north of Hockley.

Hwy 6 is closed north of Hempstead until Tuesday at least.

Last I saw. Shepherd/Durham at 10 was flooded. White Oak is over the banks there.

White Oak Bayou has flooded Heights Blvd. Shepard Bridge will be flooded in a couple of hours.

Washington Ave usually drains pretty well but just about everything south & east is flooded.

Heights is probably the best place to stay, especially if you're above the ground floor.

Stay safe!

If he's at Memorial Heights let me know. That's my place and I'm tracking down info from the property management.

Not sure what current conditions are at the apartments, but Studemont, Heights and Yale are impassable and flooded.

Based on what I have seen of Buffalo Bayou and White Oak Bayou, I would be shocked if you could get there and if he didn't already have water around his place.
