ummm, forgive me, but how was that a racist remark? Is saying that you could not get any dry cleaning because all of the owners were at the games a bad thing? Has the dry cleaning business gotten a bad rap recently that I didnt hear about? Not sure how many of you have been around the Anaheim area, but I can tell you from first hand knowledge that there are many many Asian people there and I have seen many that own dry cleaning businesses. This country has become way too sensitive and politically correct.

your analogy about watermelon and fried chicken is an extreme stretch of the comments made by Clemens. while i think he could have done a better job of explaining his respect over the excitement shown for the Japan and Korean teams, it's not that bad of you read the whole article. maybe he meant to say "i went to 1 or 2 dry cleaners, and they said i was out of luck in regards to my cleaning because they were going to the game".

if you expect everyone to think Clemens is a big racist over that, i think you'll be dissappointed. if you notice, he never said "i think this" or "i hate those people".

You actually nailed it. The link above now has a completely different story linked to it. The original title was "Clemens unsure of future, makes insensitive comments" and the only quote was the one that was in thread topic and first post.

Now, they have added additional quotes:
