If you look at the last four CWS, all four have been won with outstanding pitching. The fact that Texas did it with two freshmen and a sophmore in their starting rotation should give you good reason to believe that your new coach could put together a couple of recruiting classes that are strong on pitching and use his expertise to bring them along as quickly as UT and Aggie could back on top sooner rather than later. I sincerely hope that your new coach is as capable as I have heard that he is. It would be great to the state of texas send four teams to the CWS (UT, A&M, Rice and Baylor). it could happen. Here's to better times on the diamond for the Aggies!

He makes a good point, regardless of school affiliation. Now that the bats in college baseball aren't so explosive, good pitching goes a lot farther. Baylor made it to the final four with a mediocre hitting team. If Coach Childress gets our pitching staff to take the step from good to great, we'll be in Omaha.

it sure as hell isn't paradise, but I get by. Heaven for me is a high school or college football or baseball game. I travel the state to watch as many of them as I can.

You're probably right, of course, but I can dream, can't I. Texas (the state of) has the greatest football and baseball anywhere and I revel in it. I'm a lucky man!

Yeah, it is definitely possible, but all 4 teams would have to be in the top 8. Problem with that is the chances of Baylor, Texas, and A&M all being in the national top 8 are slim and none.

Actually, it could happen. Baylor and Nebraska were seeded three and four this year and Texas should have been seeded in the top 8 as they were ranked in the top 8 in both polls all season. So, it could happen, it would be a longshot, but stranger things have happened.

The selection committee proved this year that they will not give three teams from the Big 12 national seeds. If ever there were a year when three Big 12 schools deserved national seeds, it was this year. The SEC bias plays too big a roll, in spite of how many of their teams Texas beats every post-season.
