Does anyone know if he got his hitting instruction elsewhere earlier in the season when he wasn't playing? No power last year...just a bunch of singles for the most part. Then he isn't playing, but gets another chance and is now the clean up hitter!!

Anyone have some ideas??

Andrew is a great ballplayer and i believe he plays all year long (offseason leagues around the country). A&M hasn't been the only place he's received instructions lately.

almost all of our players play in summer leagues...

that's my point. hitting instructions can come from anywhere with these guys.

i'm curious if baldwin's hamstring injury was bothering him again earlier this season. either way, he doesn't look like it's bothering him anymore.

it's from built up frustration and anger towards certain member(s) of the team for not playing him often...

All I can say about Baldwin's power hitting is that it got here in the nick of time.

We need 2 or 3 other players to get red-hot too.

They changed his batting stance last year to try to get more power from him. It took him awhile to get comfortable with it and was one reason he was buried in the lineup at the end of last year.

lets just hope he keeps it up

2004 season:
he started 12 in a row, played 25 total out of 29 - he played 86% of these games.

2005 season:
he started 8 games, played 9 games total out of 29 - he played 31% of these games.

How would you feel with this transition from your Junior to Senior year??

its not rumors, he's unhappy that they haven't used him much this year. I do hope he keeps it up b/c he has the hottest bat next to Pennington.

I think the comment had to do with the comment about anger towards certain members of the team---that does not sound like coaches, but teammates--and they have nothing to do with his playing time.

to me, a coach is a member of the team if that clears up any confusion.
