1. Doug Frame is off the team

2. We got new uniforms (there's a nike swoosh and the numbers are a little different)

3. 11 engines was a once in a lifetime event that will never happen again and we should thank God we were there to see it.

11 engines....wow!

11 engines was cool. most I've ever seen was 8. As for the game, we needed that win and at times, I didn't think we would pull it off. I was pleased that Ray got his act together and was strong in getting the save.

nobody seems to know what happened to doug frame. it is just like he quietly disappeared. strange, very strange.

There were 10 engines during Sunday's game against UCLA....

I am glad my prediction of 10 engines each time isn't a total pipe dream...

My first baseball season as A&M (1997) there was a train with 14 engines and no cars for a Tuesday afternoon game. Never seen more than that.

Three things I noticed while watching on AUA:

Our hitters are swinging at a lot of bad pitches and are not patient at the plate.

Ryan Hill is in a slump and Baldwin might protect Pennington in the four hole a lot better.

AUA worked fine last night but with a little effort has potential to be great and worth a lot more money.

ZAGMAN: I was having difficulty with AUA freezing up more often than not at 600 speed (I have cable) but it did much better at 300..Unfortunately, I am not smart enough to know why?

p.s. Enjoyed visiting with you and wife at the St Joe's game. Glad to see St Joe doing so well in NIT final four.

I thought there was 28 trains for that 1997 game...

But then again I was hammered and seeing double...

WOw zagman - I actually thought we were a bit timid at the plate but got some good wood/metal on the ball when we did make contact.

We were timid, but not intimidated.

Unfortunately, since it was working fine for others, that probably means that you have a connection problem.

I think Jeff was hammered & seeing double too...there were only 7 engines. You must have really hammered to be seeing quadruple.

Hey Gigum, enjoyed meeting you also. AUA only crashed once last night but through out the evening it kept dropping from 600 to 300 but would buffer back to 600 automatically. I have SBC Yahoo.
With a little effort this AUA company could make the presentation a very good value.
When a man is on first change the camera to over head to view the entire field including base runners.
Move the C position umpire at second over a tad so we can view the batter.
Lighten up the picture more.
Show the field inbetween innings so we can see whats going on instead of the score board.
Develop our own company so we could set up and see all away games too.
I think an in house company would better serve A&M and probably make money through advertising and more subscriptions.

Watched the game AUA as well (also SBC) and agree with all of you points. There looked to be a lot of poor ABs. The worst point was in the 7th after Baldwin homered when Mav, Infante and Harughty in succession looked completley lost.

But a win's a win. And we needed that one.

AgRyan, the c-position ump with a three man crew is the third base ump covering second with a man on first in the infield not the home plate umpire.

does anyone know what happened on that WP that allowed the runner to score from second? Both Harughty and the batter's reactions seemed to be that it hit him but I initally didn't think it did and neither did the home plate umpire (and I don't know if that guy is the a umpire or b umpire....just that he's definately not the c umpire)

Zagman... what would you say if the umpire moved to give you a better view from the camera, and was then out of position to make the call? You would complain they were out of position. The umpires are part of the playing field. Sorry.
