If he hadn't pitched 7 inning Tuesday, Creps would have been a good candidate for game 3. I suppose they could start Ray (or even Whelan--I'd actually kind of like to see him start, just for a change) and piece it together by committe. I suspect that Turner might be good for another couple of innings, and Corgan wasn't out there long.

we need a pretty close to complete game from Marlatt in game 2. And then Ray, Nicholson, maybe Turner again for game 3. Chambless in the mix too.

I think it's highly unlikely that we don't see Jordan tomorrow considering its the only day he can be wiht the team.

Does a DHer count against his hour limit?

Ryan: Each game counts three hours against his 20 hour per week limit. I'm curious as to whether they planned for him to be at one game or two this weekend. If two, then it will work out fine. If one, then I don't know what they'd do, other than have him only show up for the last game.

I assume we'll save Creps to start against Lamar on Tuesday. We've still got a pretty full bullpen and I expect to see Chambless out there as much as we need him tomorrow.

yeah, that's why I was asking....I had heard (I think from Louie's lunch break on radio today) that he was just going to be avail. on Friday. I wonder how they're going to figure out which game to dress him for....

he'll suit up in the 7th of the first game tomorrow and if we dont need him,..then he will go back to his street clothes,..then he will suit back up in the 7th of the second game tomorrow.

Yes.

Unless there is a run-rule situation, all Big XII games are 9 innings.

7 inning games are generally reserved for special tournament type settings or the Big 10 Conference.

While we're on the topic of 7 and 9 inning games, does anybody know what the status of the run rule is this year (they seem to change it every year). Judging by the first game in Lubbock, I'm guessing that in a normal series, it is only in effect on getaway day, but how about for today's doubleheader?

I'm guessing the rule is only in effect on getaway day or the final game of the series. Usually that's the same thing, but not always. My assumption that in a situation like today, it would only be in effect for the 2nd game of the DH.


On a semi-related note, as of right now the only series to change dates/times is the A&M/OU series. All others appear to be going on as originally scheduled.

Diamonds, he was not there yesterday, he was coming in this morning. He will be there today.

Isn't there a football scrimmage today? If so doesn't Jordan have to stay for that. And, does that give him time to get to the Baseball games later today.
