No game on Saturday.

You have asked questions about freshman Jordan Chambless's participation in baseball. After our scrimmage today he had plans to join the baseball team in Norman, Okla., for today's doubleheader against Oklahoma. He was eligible to pitch in either or both games.
There are complicated new NCAA rules about multisport athletes and the hours they can spend in one day and a week in “countable activities” with their teams. In an interpretation from the NCAA just this morning Jordan was cleared for baseball Friday night after participating in our morning scrimmage.
The important thing to know is that we work closely with the compliance department and with Coach Mark Johnson to help Jordan manage his hours to fulfill his football obligations and still be available to pitch as often as possible during spring practice. Also by NCAA rules, any scholarship athlete who plays football and another sport counts against the scholarship limits in football.
