Actually the big surprise was what Texas had done before they got to Baylor! I didn't think they were going to be that good with their preseason pitching losses. Turns out Garrido put the team back together, up until they ran into a fast improving Baylor team.

Yep, its baseball, and the programs with the best hitters, best pitchers, and smartest coaches, will be in Omaha as usual. So what else is new?

if we only score 1 run combined on Friday and Saturday it does not matter how many we score on Sunday..we could score 30 every Sunday and we will still be sitting at home during the postseason.

Possibly the dumbest post I have read today..at least untill your next one.

I understand those that ***** more than I understand your "aw shucks we lost" mentality.

I will love the day that
A&M fans actually care about winning and losing

It has started with Fran and the Football program..BCG has shown us what can happen when the basketball team wins..Im just waiting for the other sport that has been underacheiving for the last 15 years to catch up

victory

The scariest thing to me is how we even earned those runs. Our batting with RISPs was still terrible. If we were playing anywhere in the world besides Lubbock, our three home runs and two of our doubles would probably just be routine fly outs.

We need to figure out how to string together some base hits and score some runs. I think that in the first couple innings we got 5 runners into scoring position with only one out and didn't get a single one home. That has got to improve or we'll be in trouble.

That said, I still like our chances overall. The Big12 is going to be an entertaining conference to watch, if this weekend was any indication of the things to come. We didn't fare as well in the Big12 last year as one would hope but we did make the Supers. At some point, (knock on wood) our bats will get hot. And I can't wait to see that.

Artimus,

Lessee, Tu was no.1 in all of U.S.and A and got swept. They reportably have the best pitchers, hitters etc in country. That's my point and I agree with you. The best talent will go to Omaha and tu could very well end up there EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE SWEPT. But some of us think our season shot because the Techies win 2 of 3. Hang on guys.
