In Baton Rouge, the Hoilday Inn off of I10 was nice when we stayed there about a year and a half ago. Reviews of next door properties were not good.

I traded hotels around several times and opted for a longer-stay type layout to accommodate baseball gear and long, lanky teenager. Definitely a downgrade from the river view balcony I started with, but I'm certain the space was worth it.

My son will start at MSU Starkville this fall. Really good places to eat in the Cotton District especially on home games. Bulldog Burger, Tyler's, Bin 612, Georgia Blue, Taste Italian Kitchen and Central Station Grill are our top favs around Starkvegas.

The tailgating was fun; and we were welcomed at all the spots. The football stadium, if you are familiar with 1990s Kyle Field, will make you feel like you're back in College Station 1990.

Wish Texas A&M offered a bachelors in data science with a concentration in sports performance and sports science, but alas, at least he chose a college that is very similar to aTm.

It was very similar. We did an admissions tour and were impressed. My son was not too keen on the town, but he is pretty picky. He really enjoyed the campus, though.
