Thats not very inclusive.
The problem is there's like 2. There's not enough volume for softball to demand it's own forum
It might be easier if staff made an all "women's sports" thread that included softball, basketball, volleyball and soccer.

You only need one thread to cover all of the softball posts. The 2026 softball season thread covers it all and you are already posting on there.
Has any of the softball fans that have started threads asking for a separate forum contacted staff? Direct interaction would likely be more productive than threads such as this one every 2 months or so.
Fully support this request. There is NO additional cost (beyond trivial set-up) to TexAgs to provide this, and it would certainly improve the experiences by both SB and BB fan-bases.

God forbid we get rid of the Covid-19 board and swap it out for an actual sports related board.

Kill the SEC country board and add a softball board
Everyone should just start posting all of the softball topics now over there. At the very least it's easy to filter through the messages there since it's not used as much in the meantime.
At this point, I support this idea just so I can stop seeing this thread

Easier for who? Developing a new flagging mechanism that doesn't currently exist would take a more work for TexAgs than setting up a new forum.

Volleyball had 1-2 threads a season on "other sports". When it got its own forum, the number of threads expanded significantly and visibility/activity increased.
Maybe the reason softball only had 1-2 threads is because it is in a forum with baseball. It is far easier to have a softball discussion on the 1 softball thread that everyone interested bookmarks than to start a thread on each topic where it will quickly get lost by all the baseball threads.
Nah, couple lines of code is really all it would take. I'm not saying it's the best way, but it's pretty easy. Honestly, since it's the sb people upset about it they could just add it themselves into their subjects.

I will give about 1 minute of thought to this issue, but if it is split out I will likely never see softball related news again, whereas I enjoyed getting an unintentional weekly update when I happened to click on a softball thread on this forum. I guess thats fine.

More threads about wanting a softball forum than their are about softball. Kinda makes the point doesn't it?And I say this as a frequent poster on the softball season and game threads...
Suggestions:
1) Post more about softball. If there were critical mass I'm sure it would get done.
2) Just go hijack another forum. There are many here that are absolutely dormant. Pick one and give it a try.

No. I don't want to go to page 2 to find a thread about softball because 20 people have started nee threads about baseball uniforms and other useless info.

The Covid board is still very useful
It's a great database of individuals that are completely incapable of rational thought and only able to regurgitate what daddy government tells them
By all means keep the covid-19 board as an eternal reminder of how so many people can get sucked into an overblown, oversold scamdemic where the so-called cure (shots) did more damage than the disease itself.
