Yeah, the 1992 regional still hurts. We got rid of host Florida, and loaded Georgia Tech, and had nothing standing between us and Omaha except a depleted Cal team as the 4 seed. We pitched Jeff Granger on 2 days rest, and he made it into the 7th. Rob Harris had an early 2 run homer, and that was basically it. Because Cal had knocked off the 1 seed in game 2, there was no loser's bracket, since nobody was 3-0. Anyway, it was the oft-repeated Mark Johnson pattern of not having dependable bullpen arms and not scoring enough runs late in regionals.
