Lowered expectations is a lot nicer way of responding to someone that points out we did well bc of the preseason pick of 13. I mean, we could say that's total BS.

I would prefer that. "Lowering expectations" to me implies that we do not want to win as badly as the internet tough guys on here. Which is total malarkey..

I think he was talking more about the players and coaches.And maybe boosters paying the players. Not the attitude, or lack thereof, of posters on an internet web site.

Facts don't matter to the Earley supporters.
-take the preseason consensus #1 team in the country and miss the playoffs. Not Earley's fault
-don't go out and sign any high level pitcher's to compete for weekend starting roles this year. It's JK's fault fire him!
-we don't have a pitching coach or any portal pitchers signed yet. Not Earley's fault
He is going to get his 4 years here because we aren't going to pay buyouts in sports that are not profitable but that doesn't mean we need to be gaslit by Earley supporters for 2 more years. There is a lot more evidence he can't get it done than there is that he can. Maybe he changes, maybe it works out but as of now that appears less likely than more likely.
