It's been said that Edward's agent has told them no he can't pitch. I've asked the same question in premium. The only positive is their bullpen must be a big fall off if they throw a kid like the did for 2 outings

How about Darden. He only had two innings worth of work so should be fresh. I kid I kid!

He's better in relief so we could see him for a inning or 2

I did say starting Freshcorn in the "if needed"game makes sense if he hadn't pitched in the 1st elimination game

I was asking and I think that's our best choice. Everybody wants to leave him to the end and we have not needed him yet.

I think it's best to start Fresh, however that would mean anyone else in that bullpen becomes the closer…which is awful

We have to get a good pitching coach and develop.

I'd do whatever option to minimize runs in the first 3 innings. That means start Freshcorn. Letting SC get out to a big lead early gives them momentum and puts even more pressure on our offense to come back with the season on the line. Corn has thrown 69 pitches in a game and 56 in another one. Would be nice to get 4-5 innings from him. And then basically pray that we have a good enough lead where our other arms can hold them late.

Not the best of options, but we are where we are with our pitching. Sucks.

If I were Earley and Kelly, other than the starter that'll be on the bump, all other pitchers will be in the pen--on ready.

Everyone is available for at least one hitter--unless they have stiffness or soreness that doesn't work itself out during pregame stretching and warmups.

I wouldn't want Earley or Kelly to be accused of Gus-Abuse, but they're all gamers and if they say the can go, then they're next in line.

I'm almost on the start Freshcorn ship, but it sure would suck to lose it in the late innings because he runs out of gas. I'd give Vincent or Powell serious consideration as starters. If they can get us 4 innings, I'm confident Freshcorn can close it out

Unfortunately, you are absolutely correct.

The last game of the regionals tonight at 8pm is the ultimate bullpen game. Nobody of USC gets to see the same pitcher twice, unless it is Freshcorn on a roll. Would love to see us piece together 5 innings of Sdao/Moss/anyone and go to Freshcorn for the last 4 innings. But it's up to the offense to score as many as possible. Magic please.

Sdao scares me a lot. So does Lyons to be honest. It seems they rely too much on a belt high fastball. USC can mash. Maybe they can get through one roll of the lineup but don't see them being competitive for a second round through their gauntlet.

If Moss pitches, Earley should be fired on the spot. Can't do that to that kid.

I just don't know how you can pitch Sdao at this point.

USC wasn't known as a team that could "mash" before they came to this regional. Not a top 50 offensive team nationally. Our pitching has made them look like they can "mash". USC is here because of their pitching and defense.
