Knowing we need at least 3 wins to secure the Top 8 Seed, what do you want to see from the team to secure the seed?

(Besides getting healthy)

What do I want to see? To start out, sweep Ole Miss in Oxford and I'd be feeling pretty good

Winning on the road is always tough in the SEC but this Ole Miss team is very beatable.

They are just solid all around, but no part of their team sticks out as elite.

Yeah, I actually think this weekend against Ole Miss is slightly more winnable than Miss State. Both should be tough but winnable series.

This Ole Miss team has struggled against the better teams and I think there are outs to be had towards the bottom of their lineup.

At least 3 wins

Win at least one game at Ole Miss and win the final SEC series against Mississippi State at home for at least 3 more SEC wins to finish 18-11 or better in SEC play

And that's why Kiel plays left field

I'd like to have a couple of surprise heros emerge these last weekends or in the SEC tournament while we try to get Haco, Partida, and now possibly Kellner back. We are a shell of ourselves without those dudes in full capacity.

Another weak Friday night showing. Gonna have to sweep Ole Miss tomorrow. We just don't seem to have it right now and Mississippi State is gonna be hard to beat even at our place. Maybe a 10 seed at best with a possibility of a 16th seed which would give us UCLA if we win our region. We have to get healthy or we're done.

Don't let the losses become a head game. They're winning because of lack of concentration on hitting.

The Aggie Bats were hot when we put together that streak starting with 18 runs to salvage the Georgia series sweep 2 from the horns and win iirc 8 out of 9 against Vandy, Mizzou and LSU
In the 12 game stretch we averaged about 10 runs per game and even averaged 10 against tu & UGa
Tough loss to start the final stretch we only scored 3 runs Pretty simple 3 runs ain't going to be enough most nights

Good news is this team has the ability to get hot and score runs against good teams and giving up only 5 is one of the better Fridays the pitching staff has had.

Hopefully the bats warmup and we manage to at least host the first round

Still much better season than most of us were expecting when We got off to a slow start in conference play

And 2 of those 5 sit squarely on the shoulders of our LF not knowing how to take a route on a fly ball. Ole Miss should have had 3 runs and the bottom of the 9th should have happened.

then again, we have at least 3 absolute black holes in the lineup right now with Partida out. Need him back asap!

I am honestly a bit worried about Earley's choices as HC. Been 100% supportive of him and I do recognize there is a degree of learning on the job for him.

I just feel like after Game 1 with Auburn that he has been a bit reactive in making massive change ups to the lineup and pitching. Seems a bit late in the season to be moving so many chess pieces when we were on a massive hot streak.

Also goes to show...pitching likely be what prevents this team from a deep run as relying on bats for wins isn't the best formula. Never been a Kelly fan...that must be addressed this off season 110%.

The path to Omaha is still scoring at least 6 almost every night

Our offense is unfortunately starting to underperform….. aside from a couple of superlatives these last 6 games, as a team we seem to be less clutch and opportunistic as we must be when facing top tier teams. If we are going to rely on offense, then we must do a better job of capitalizing on our opponents mistakes.
