In the three games combined at LSU this weekend:
>> A&M NEVER trailed.
>> A&M was tied at end of innings 1, 2, and 4 of game 1 and at the end of inning 1 of game 2. The Ags led at the end of all 23 other innings (including the last 17 innings).
>> LSU never brought the tie run to the plate after the 5th inning of any game.
>> A&M "only" out hit LSU 27-22, but drew 18 BB compared LSU's 7
>> A&M pitching threw 0 wild pitches (we had a PB in the 8th of game 3 which plates an LSU run). LSU threw 6 WP, most of them costly

I haven't dug into 2 out RBIs, but A&M had to have dominated that stat as well.

It's clear we're back to Earley coaching the hitting because the BB number has skyrocketed. What's equally clear is that despite the lack of elite stuff on the mound we're not walking anyone. We give up a lot of HR but a significant number of them are solo shots. BB are inning builders and we just aren't giving up very many of them. You have to beat us because we aren't going to best ourselves.

Without knowing any metrics, our plate discipline is excellent. Guys are taking pitches that are balls. We play solid D and our pitching has been clutch when it needs to be. Really like this team.

Indeed. Cowan, the corndog starter yesterday, had only given up 3 walks all season, over 20 innings. Yesterday, he walked 3 in 2.2 innings.
