Are y'all watching Bama Ou?
The Bama starting pitcher (freshman) pitches a ball, gives up a hit, and is down. It's his landing leg. He kept pointing at the mound. I saw the replay, and you can see where he was injured, but seemed more like a freak event.

Crazy. Pitching change in process. 1st inning.

Thank god for the challenge option. Blue would have just royally screwed SC. Blue is a die hard horns fan.

One of the worst calls ive seen in a long time on the diamond. Blue standing right there, slow play with no distractions, safe by 5 feet

Arkansas about to lose the series vs Auburn.

They are a mess, they shouldn't be ranked after this week.

Assuming Auburn finishes them (up 8-3 T7 as I type), Arkansas will be 1-6 in its last 7 SEC games, with a midweek loss in there too.

This is what the box says so I assume it was Fagan.

HP: James Ainsworth
1B: Jordan Ferrell
2B: Clint Fagan
3B: Matthew Wilbanks

For the people who say our facilities hinder our recruiting, how in the world does OU compete in the SEC with theirs?

I mean you'd have to be fairly biased to not have sips near top, right?

Going into State and sweeping them is a pretty tall task.

Well…*you* would for sure.

The league has been so volatile in its first four weekends I'm hesitant to say. The team that looks great one weekend, lays an egg the next. That being said Georgia and t.u. have weathered the storm that has been SEC baseball so far this season the best. Hopefully the Aggies can swamp sippie's boat this coming weekend.

Ole Miss was trailing 2-0 going into the ninth, but scored five runs to steal the series win in Gainesville.

They're easily near the top but through 4 weekends Georgia has the best resume and it's really not close.

Series wins vs Tenn, @A&M, USC (sweep), and @MSU (sweep).

That is 3 ranked series wins, 2 on the road, one of which was a sweep of a top 5 team.

If they had a different logo they'd most likely be #1 on Monday.

The only SEC teams that are consistently winning on the road are Georgia, followed by Florida, us, and Kentucky to a lesser extent. Everyone else is near .500 or worse.

t.u. still has road trips to College Station, Nashville, and Knoxville even though they (luckily) don't have Florida or Georgia on their schedule this year.

Texas is 5-3 on the road (4-2 in SEC play) and 8-3 away from home. A&M is 4-2 on the road (4-2 in SEC play) and 6-3 away from home.

That seems pretty comparable. No problem with Georgia considered to be the best team in the SEC at the moment.

Edit - Happy Easter all!

But if you look at it closer, tu hasn't played a team with a > 0.500 record in SEC play. You really do have to put UGA way out in front right now.

It really sucks that we let the ou series get away from us.
8-4 with only a series loss to UGA would look pretty good.

Texas has played Auburn (No. 5 RPI), Ole Miss (No. 8 RPI), and OU (No. 20 RPI). That's 2 of the top 3 teams in the SEC (excepting Texas) based on RPI.

I wouldn't put Georgia (No. 21 RPI against a SOS ranked No. 60) way out in front of Texas (No. 3 RPI against a SOS ranked No. 9), just a game ahead in the SEC. Both teams will be ranked in the Top 4 in the polls.

I'd call it neck and neck for the nonce with Georgia slightly leading (by a game in the SEC and probably a spot or two in the polls).

SEC teams with RPI outside the top 30 at the halfway point of the regular season:

#39 Georgia
#43 Tennessee
#66 Arkansas
#83 LSU
101 South Carolina
114 Vanderbilt
138 Missouri

work to do to make a regional or host or top 8

updating...Georgia is the big mover this weekend...up to #21...edit per below

the remaining outside the top 30

#39 Tennessee
#56 Arkansas
#81 LSU
#98 Vanderbilt
100 South Carolina
138 Missouri

Vandy has not missed a regional since 2005. Big RPI series are still ahead, but the Commodores also have Carolina and Missouri on the schedule
