Where are the Boo Birds tonight after the Ags blow out Georgia? Granted, Ags need to be going 2 for 3 in SEC series games and not 1 for 3.

Hell yeah Ags! We beat the hell out of the Dawgs to lose the series at home and not get swept!

I think it'd be great if someone posts something like this after every win, and then after every loss someone else can make a post talking **** about anyone who's ever said something positive about the team. That's really what this forum needs

That's pretty much what we get. Only during every game when people are trying to follow along.
It's pretty funny that people are so upset at this one thread gloating in their faces when they do it practically daily.

That's one thing about citing historical records as to what is required to get into the tournament that I think may be in doubt. Now that you play 10 out of 15 opponents, instead of 10 out of 13, there's a much greater likelihood of your schedule being skewed one way or the other. At the end of the year, you could be sitting at 13 wins and say, historically, that's been good enough, but if it looks like your schedule was easier than the average SEC schedule, it may not be.
One good thing is that we've taken care of business in nonconference games so far, so at least we don't have that millstone to deal with.
It is pretty funny to see someone trying to call out negative posts after we drop a home series where we got out homered 10-1. I understand looking for the positive, but trying to taunt the overly negative folks under these circumstances is ridiculous. Even when the team does win big, the worst negative posters just hide until the next time things go south.
Yall realize we all want the team to win, right? Most of us that think Earley should be ushered out at the end of the season were happy with beating Georgia and having a laugher win on a Sunday. As many on both sides of this discussion have said, there's alot of season to go and there will be wins and losses.

I've been a very harsh critic of Earley since mid last season. I thought and still do think he is in way over his head. I don't see this season going well.
But because he's our coach right now, I'm also a fan of his. Why? Because, more than anything, I want Aggie baseball to be successful. If that means Earley is the one to turn it around, then GREAT! I don't really care who turns it around, I just want it turned around. We have the talent to at minimum make the postseason, so here's to hoping that yesterday was the turning point.

I would say this is the absolute biggest problem we've had - we are wildly inconsistent. We win three series last year against #1, #2, #2 in the span of a month, showing we clearly have the Joes talent on the roster, but sandwich it by getting swept by other lesser teams.

It's not funny at all. One game doesn't change my mind....Earley is not the guy that will lead this program to where it needs to go. It is so obvious at this point.

Not sure anyone told you, but we didn't win 24-22 this weekend. We lost 2-1. I know its confusing.

Losing 8 of the last 12 SEC series (5 by sweep) has certainly gotten folks on edge. Nice confidence boosting win on Sunday and it avoided another sweep.

In a vacuum you are correct it is crazy to want a coach fired after just 2 conference series and being 2-4 against two top ten teams....but there is a lot of context that you clearly want to ignore that others are not.
LSU is also 2-4 right now and 0% of their fan base are calling for the coach to be fired. And they actually have a few other losses against far inferior opponents.
Would you like to guess why these two scenarios are not the same?

I frankly have no idea what this season has in store for this team. Yes, we lost our first two SEC series albeit against top 10 clubs. And we were competitive. We should have a better data set to look at after Missouri and Vandy. Suspect it will be mainly dictated by our pitching. After that people's cases will have some more depth to them. Until then it's all noise. I do agree with several of the concerns about in game decisions. But only because they didn't work out.Probably will be a time where those same decisions will prove to be right. But I'm the last person to judge. I just like to watch us play and compete.

But agree with your conclusion, we have the talent (but enough of pitching?) we just have to figure out how to consistently put it all together.
Look how long we kept Childress around….lots of the same lame excuses back then.
Different team, similar results...I'll believe we're different when I actually see it.

in the SEC you have to beat top 10 teams to make a regional...because you play so many

While it would be ideal, I don't think we "have" to sweep. Definitely need to win the series. A sweep would be awesome and help tremendously.

Agreed, a sweep may give us a little breathing roon later in the season. tu, Au and MSST on th3 schedule plus at LSU is gonna be tough.......and we have to get through Vandy. I'll take every win we can get wherever we can get it.

We're going to need 14 conference wins to get in the tournament. We need 12 more. 2 of 3 against Mizzou is a must.
