You didn't look like you were having fun on TV.

Gavin has been up in two clutch situations in the last two games and came through with big hits scoring runs. I love TK but definitely wanted Gavin up in those spots. You only lead off once a game. TK getting on in the 7 spot is huge for us.

I am in no way criticizing Gavin. Just looks to me that TK is a prototypical lead off batter.

I understand you were not criticizing GG but he has done everything you could ask from a leadoff man since all these complaints about TK not leading off have hit their crescendo. Baseball is changing and the idea of leading off with one of or your best hitter is not even all that new, the idea has been bandied about since the '70s, modern analytics shows that it is effective over the course of a season.

it's not like TK is a scrub.. over the course of this season so far (20+ games) he's one of our top 3 hitters. Should he be a must at leadoff? no.. but there also many valid points for him to be there too

Nobody is claiming such. If TK were in the leadoff spot I would not blink an eye. As it is, if GG remains in the leadoff spot, I think TK should go in the 9 hole to create the dynamic that would be their if he were leading off.

I might move Kelner up to 7, but I'd keep TK ahead of Bear. Bear has great OBP, and you don't want to end up with TK behind him on the bases.

Might want to put Duer in the lead off spot as he doesn't tend to swing at early pitches as much as Gavin and Kaeden and he also is a better batsman in fighting off pitches and getting on base.

After we get the lead off man figure out, maybe we can work on our pitchers.
