They got run ruled by Northwestern State last year and won the championship.
That was one game. They've already lost to McNeese, Louisiana- Lafayette, Northeastern and Sacramento State twice.

I guess not.
In 2025 in the March 10 poll A&M had dropped to No. 21 at 9-6 (including losses to tourney teams Ok. State, Cal-Poly, UTSA, and Arizona vs. LSU's 5 losses to bottom feeders) from No. 2 on Feb. 24, but A&M's losses were spaced over two weeks rather than 4 WTF losses in one week.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_NCAA_Division_I_baseball_rankings
By doing it almost all in one week instead of two LSU was able to pull off losing to much worse competition than A&M in 2025 while dropping 8 spots less.
Well yes because they do the polls week to week. If LSU goes 2-2 or 1-3 this week they will drop to around 20-25 and then out of the polls they go if they continue losing. Basically treating them exactly like they did us in 2025.

Really odd results. They have some really good bats and some really good arms but they just are not playing up to the talent (sounds familiar I know). I don't see where any of their major expected contributors are injured and out either.

Yeah, I'm sure they were sympathetic to us last season when we had multiple preseason All Americans out and dropped in the rankings as well.

Their starting LF Stanfield has been out for a couple of weeks. According to my Tiger friends that's when they started going cold, haven't been able to settle on a lineup since then apparently. Don't think one person should have that big of an impact though

Yeah I call BS. Stanfield is not that type of player in the slightest. He's a good role player, but does not have close to that type of impact. His value comes from his defense and has nothing to do with LSU going cold at the plate.
Not digging on you here. I'm just calling that an absolutely absurd excuse by your LSU friends. And as others have said, its not like we got any benefit of the doubt last year when we were wrecked by injuries. Injuries happen and that's not any worse than every other baseball team in America

If I ever take time out of my own life to watch an LSU-specific update video, someone please put me out of my misery.
No offense intended, HoustonAg.
