Not defending Tennessee for losing the series, but Kent State is a solid mid-major. They won the MAC regular season last year and returned a large chunk of that team. They'll definitely be a team to follow this season.

I've been working outside and missed most of the game so just catching up. I was going to say this as well. KentSt could be a legit at-large candidate if they don't win the conference. They're good.

Way better effort today it seems. I think we all like TK at leadoff. Farr making a case to play more often. Earley may have some decisions to make when everyone is healthy. I still think Travis needs to be the weapon off the bench most days but it sure is nice that he can play IF/OF if needed.

Good job on PBP trouble. I even knew who was actually batting almost half the time.

We dominated Penn 7-1 to sweep them and improve to 7-0. I love how we scored 7 runs after 3 combined runs in 20 innings across our first 2 games and how our stellar pitching and bullpen allowed just 2 combined runs in 3 games.

this is going to be a bit of a rant...I'll never understand the negative mindset some have. I will absolutely NEVER understand the people who only show up to crap on threads during tough games and cant/won't show up and be positive during good games. Those of you who do this need to admit to yourself that you have a ton of self work to do.

It's funny, the only time I see the negativity is when someone quotes them in reply.

Not much to complain about this far, but failing to secure a legit SEC catcher in the portal is my biggest concern. Seems neither of our guys are showing much threat at the plate and that's a lot of easy outs over a weekend. Maybe Bear will show offensive improvement over last year, but seems like he picked up right where he left off to date. If one of them can break through, our offense may not have a consistent hole in the lineup.
