Thought you would like to know that the middle kid was accepted to A&M a few weeks ago. There was really no doubt since he fell far from the tree with a keen ability to never study but get perfect scores...weirdo! Seems like just yesterday when I announced his arrival on the GB.
Anyhow, all we need now is for A&M to remove the out-of-state tuition! If not, he will most likely end up at LA Tech, but his he is really hoping for A&M.

Any chance he's interested in the Corps? I'm pretty sure they have some decent scholarship opportunities for out of state kids.

It's been almost a decade since my kid was in the Corps so I couldn't remember exactly what it was.
My guy is bummmmmmmmmed. Taking the summer to get some exposure elsewhere, but he'll be counting the days to a winter camp, for sure.
Mine is too. It does make planning vacation a little easier this year.
But at least people were able to park there for football!!
Helped my brother-in-law get full admittance to A&M by reaching out to the corps and he was a key brigade commander his zip year and has achieved lt col since commissioning. But he was a Texas resident so did NOT benefit from this.trouble said:

I was not SURE how the non-resident tuition waiver worked and it is a HUGE benefit. I had it due to my Presidents's Endowed Scholarship so was keenly aware of the value.
Damn, we skipped winter camp this year in favor of summer. Wish we had known this earlier…
Yep, reach out to the Commandants Office, he or someone on his staff could most likely help him out.

We did the same thing.
Not conducting camps will be financially hard on the "volunteers" who work with the college players. Camps are the way they make money to pay the rent, etc.

My kid (current 8th grader) is now going to be an out of state applicant in a few years. I'd love to pick your brain about the process.
