Sounds like Welsh gave Trev an ultimatium to balance the athletic department's budget by 2028 or he would find a new AD. So, Trev is following marching orders. And, of course, Welsh is now gone.

BUT, I would not be surprised to see the TMF be given the green light to go our and raise the additiional $75-$80MM needed for the Olsen expansion at the end of 2026. My TMF contact says they had 5-6 ready to pay $10MM each for Founder's Suites. If that holds, the additional $30MM could roll in much easier.

I hope I still get seats in the new, fancy Olsen!

It fits why Woodward went sideways with Sharp. But the principals are all gone now. I'm sure Trev is cautious in financing anyway, so why would Welsh issue that as a threat? And you don't have context for it being relevant to Olsen…

Missouri has the worst facilities. Vandy was next to the bottom (although maybe they have some decent player facilities--that I don't know). At best, this probably moves OU up to 14. One problem they have, and this is across most of their sports outside football and softball, they just can't get butts in seats. You'd think it wouldn't be that hard being part of the OKC metro area, but it's always been a struggle for them.
