For the first 3 games of the regular season. Along with a "public reprimand." Seems about right to me. Surprised to see the NCAA actually do something about it.

Edit: This is punishment for yelling at staff at CCU during the tourney.

Wow, I read the title of this post and thought "couldn't be about that outburst in regionals, could it?" It was. Pfft.

I expect a news story about that umpire in the CWS finals in another couple months, LOL.

The committee only meets so often. They ruled on the rule violation in late June. They then would have contacted and discussed it with the school to try to reach an agreement on the punishment. The 3 games are actually self imposed by Florida.
