Worth a listen to Earley's interview today. He briefly discussed a few stance and swing changes he and Longley worked on with Bindy. Good stuff. Really happy for this kid!

I heard there were some intramural softball teams that might consider him.

Not to be a downer on this thread, but not sure where else to put this (and don't like starting new threads)...
Coach said Kash was ready to go in in the 9th on Saturday, and they would see about his availability this week. If Kash comes back, you'd think he has to go to 1B for his defense. Sorrell isn't ready for OF play yet, so he has to stay at DH. You hate to see Blake finally get going and then have to sit, but I'm not sure there's another option at this point.

Until this weekend was it not a valid statement? Hitting about .100 and dropping routine balls at 1B? Even Friday night he whiffed on a pickoff throw that should be caught.

Super happy to see his turnaround at the plate but lets not pretend you secretly knew he was some star we all weren't seeing....

Farr has done better there than at second but........ He was really stinking it up at second. Bindy's bat is currently hotter.

This last weekend was the first weekend for him to be. Hoping it's not a one weekend thing. TBD

I did not see one fan post on here last week they wanted him in the lineup. All I kept seeing was how long until Kash is back.

Once Sorrell can play the field and Kash is back at 1B we are going to be in a pretty nice situation offensively with being able to have Schott/Binderup available at DH with the other available when a PH is needed.

In that scenario just based on what we've seen previously Schott has been more successful coming in cold to PH. Some of Binderups ugliest AB's have come in PH spots. So I like Binderup at DH with Schott available to PH.

Binderup has made some progress at first, but, to my uneducated eye, the thing he looks least comfortable doing is tracking fly balls. I don't think outfield is the answer for him, and we saw that Kash was not an outfielder at the start of the season. So, to my mind, Kash plays first and you platoon Binderup and Schott at HD. I'd be more willing to spot Kash a day off here and there than to try to run him or Binderup out to left field.

1. We can agree to disagree. Two different staffs thought he was good enough to be a full time player here. I'm glad he's now shown that he can during league play. Confidence is a helluva drug, especially in baseball.

2. I don't particularly care if people were actively calling for Kash over Bindy, or that we should try other options. That to me was a reasonable position based on the results we'd seen on the field. Games are different than practices and scrimmages but ultimately it's the games that matter. What I didn't care for were the personal attacks and insults. There were some really stupid comments that were just over the top, a small sampling of which have been posted by others. I'm not going to search for more...
