Zero reason you should get sick from crow if you cook it appropriately. ...this from someone with a poultry science degree and a fair amount of food bacteriology experience.

It was a massive crow. No spices or sauces were allowed. Had to eat it caveman style...UNCOOKED.

I really do appreciate your sentiment. And would be happy to be that poster board child for others who truly and deeply care about A&M baseball.

Now football? A bit of a different story. I have learned not to care on a deeply personal level. Definitely more of a domestic violence sitation in my head. Love em but they keep beating me down at the worse moments. I just retain mad hope for that team but quickly let things go when things go.....uh......less than expected. Lol. True BAS there.

Confirmed. When I wrote this I took note that the OP had 55 blue stars. Down to 40 now.

It had 39 yesterday after your post, so "they" are still out there and filtering in.

Just a little follow up from last week. The weekend didn't go as hoped for, but still a little hate left to saw em off, sorta.

Feel like Earley may have missed on some situational opportunities to manufacture runs this weekend against the sips.. I know everyone hates bunting but when you're in these tight games, multiple runners aboard late in a game, tie or down by one, I think you give up an out to put RISP.
I do remember seeing a few bunts, but they weren't executed well… maybe something to work on.
I'll be honest, and can't remember which game with TK up to bat in the 9th (1st game I think) but was thinking suicide squeeze was in play… risky, but in play.

He was up with 2 outs in both games, not exactly prime suicide squeeze time.

TK's inability or unwillingness to bunt effectively may be the reason he's been moved down to 8th in the order tonight. I can't think of any other reason after he continued to otherwise hit the ball pretty well over last weekend. With Jace, I'd either be happy with him leading off if it gets him back on track in hitting balls hard and getting on base more often or with having him moved down to perhaps 5th in the order and let him only swing at pitches he likes and try to hit homeruns whenever he comes up.

This isn't little league or high school baseball.

Statistically Earley made the worst decision possible 5/5 times when bunting this weekend. FFS he had the DH Schott attempt a bunt on Sunday. A college coach making players bunt is evidence of a weak coach grasping at straws after failing to build a roster of hitters, failing to develop the hitting of his team, and failing to make the best decisions in game.

TLDR? NEVER BUNT - BUNTING IS FOR LOSERS

I am team never bunt.

I am team virtually never bunt. There are a couple of situations at most where I think it's acceptable even if not preferred...

If you can execute the bunt, it can be very effective in late innings where one run will change the game. Problem is that effective execution requires practice, so if you don't bunt regularly, it's hard to pull it off in the high leverage situations. And, the stat geeks have a point on not giving away outs, so you don't want to be doing that anymore than is absolutely necessary.
