normally I agree with seeing the first pitch, but on an elite fastball guy like this that's going to usually lead with a fastball, I think we should swing at the first one in the zone. Make him start leading with offspeed.

Because our DH can't field, our 1B can't play OF like planned, our starting OF is injured and our 3B/UTL is out for the season. Plus our coach can't get anyone hitting consistently outside of Kiel & Kent.

Our best hitters watch first pitch strikes right down main street. Meanwhile, Jamal is up there hacking at sliders 8 inches off the plate. I'd like to see us have a game plan where our better hitters have free reign on any count while our other hitters grind and make pitchers throw a lot of pitches. It seems backwards to me.

Took me a minute but George is much worse version of his fellow countrymen Sammy Sosa who always had some awful swing and misses. George swings like Sammy missing the ball by a foot or more.
