As a father, that's part of what you accept when you choose to take that level of position.
We get you are the queen of white knighting. But absolutely, when the team you were essentially gifted is WiLDLY underperforming, it's going to come under scrutiny if you're not working 24 hours a day.
A head coach at A&M doesn't get the luxuries during the season dads with lower profiles get.
That's just reality. And that's what the money is for.

It sure has been a disappointing start. Such high expectations.

For whatever reason, I'm not as frustrated as last night. I truly see both teams Turing it around. Baseball seems obviously more lost but, it'll turn around.

I just want to see some runs. Would like to see some signs of life from the offense
When was the last time we had twice as many errors in a ball game as we had hits?
We are almost 20% done with this season. A few things seem pretty clear.
- starting pitching is solid and is plenty good to put us in position to win a lot of games.
- we don't have as much talent in the batters box as we thought we did after losing Gavin. Henseler and TK look like the real deal but most of the other new faces aren't nearly at the level of the guys they replaced.
- we have and are going to continue to lose games due to Earley's inexperience.
- it looks like fielding will cost us games as well
- team was vastly overhyped

For starters additional batting practice and one on one film study with each hitter to go over what needs correcting. Obviously whatever amount they're doing now isn't enough.

You're right that struggling performance leads to increased scrutiny, but that scrutiny starts to look pretty silly when he's making time for his family and the last coach we had was attending pineapple parties
Never came up one time.
Work/Life balance depends on a lot of things.
It's pretty typical when moving into a promoted position to need to spend waaay more hours than you would in a role you've been in for 10+ years. Especially when things aren't going great.

Well given they play on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, and he's absent Monday & Wednesday, that leaves Thursday for his presence in practices. But I was assuming practices were after 5pm. I will take a great dad over any coach, but THIS team at this level, needs some serious leadership right now.
