How is it possible that a team with this many players returning from a CWS finals team is awful. Only one explanation: Earley as head coach and fatso as pitching coach

We have two hitters in tonight's lineup that were regulars during the season last year.

Also, the "fatso" comment is way over the line and completely stupid.

The thread title asks a good question. The content of the post, not as much. Think we all pretty much thought our Achilles heel was going to be relief pitching/closing. I think everyone assumed we'd mash at the plate.

The first is proving to be true - the latter should correct itself in short order.

Although he is a terrible person to A&M, we lost a good baseball coach and he took a good baseball staff with him. It would be silly to think that wouldn't have an effect on this team.
