I don't see how you can tell he's given up. He looks to me like he's pressing too hard to get a big hit rather than just taking good swings. I don't know him or anybody on the team personally, so that's purely my read on his body language.

Sometimes being an Aggie fan is tough. I just want to live up to the hype more than once a century. I'd also like to not be surprised by it. Getting whipped by a marginal tx state team while ranked #1 after a disappointing weekend series is not my idea of fun.

But, today, this week, I dont need another Aggie disappointment. Maybe next week my outlook on life will be different. But not today.

Lengthy criminal record. Major past addiction issues. So no idea why you think I'm holy in any way.
I think our start to this baseball season is concerning. We don't seem to have any energy. But that won't keep me from being an Aggie fan.
This is a hobby. No matter what happens in this game, it won't impact my outlook on life. I did suck to watch us lose in Omaha, but losing to CP and Texas State in February just isn't a huge deal to me.

Anyway, we will probably get better. The problem is we just look bad. We don't look off to me. We look bad.
We can't hit well, we can't pitch well outside three guys and we don't field well. That's the way baseball go.

Tonight is important in that it's getting guys we might not see some reps. There's been a lot of freshman tonight. Tuesday nights are like that. And it just didn't work out but since we lost being able to play last Tuesday and we need to see some guys before the weekend, it is what it is.

No. I jump on posters who give up on their team before the game or season is over.
I get the frustration. As I said, this team has no energy.
The hitting concerns me more than the pitching so far. It's not a good start to the season.

Something has fundamentally changed with our pitchers - we don't pump strikes like last year. Guys are trying to throw the perfect pitch and we are just giving away runs. That plus sloppy fielding is a recipe for losses.
The approach at the plate is awful. Way too many guys taking good pitches and swinging for the fences. The results are k's and weak pop ups.
These should be fundamental things but we clearly aren't even doing these things well against teams with much lesser talent. We aren't in a "that's baseball situation" where we just aren't getting breaks, we look like a very poorly coached and undisciplined team. Could just be kids trying to do too much or it could be a result of hiring a coach that is more friends with the players than coach.
