I think we're trying to use the week days to find starter #4 and backend of the bullpen. That's the way it would be. Unfortunately, experimenting with freshman can be painful.

There are definitely going to be growing pains for him on things like pitching changes, but it's not like he doesn't have an experienced pitching coach in the dugout with him.

Earley clearly learning on the job. I thought that him bringing on a former d1 hc as pitching coach meant the pitching coach would be making those calls. Either way, not looking like great feel in the dugout early in the season.
