There were some awesome pitchers in the Bob Brock days! I did not look but was she a freshman back then? Lessentine might have a freshman record. And second place so early in her career is really awesome!

Yeah, she was class of 1987. So 1984 would have been freshman year. She was 2nd team All-American that year. Finished with a career 1,234 strikeouts. Which was an NCAA record at the time.

Andaya was an awesome pitcher back in her day, a big reason for two of the national championships. To be mentioned anywhere close to her is awesome for Lessentine!

Radio talking about national strikeout records. Mentioned Hope Trautwein. I remember her. Her senior year she did this ...
