Gig 'em ladies!

Not going to lie, a little bummed that all the games aren't on tv. I guess I get to follow along the old fashioned way on the radio call.

Game Day !!

We are spoiled these days with most games on the telly but I have 'watched' thousands of softball and baseball games over the years using only radio and then later on with statbroadcast. And I usually worked full time when I was a student and that meant a lot of time listening to games on WTAW at work. Or just when I could not get to the games in person.

I have a lot of fond memories of listening to games on the radio over the years. When my dad was a wee lad he listened to a lot of shows (news, sports, comedy, suspense, etc.) on the radio. When I was a wee lad in Corpus my mom's dad was a huge high school and college baseball fan. Only sip games were on radio back then so that's all he listened to and I listened with him for a lot of them.

And when statbroadcast came along it added a HUGE plus to radio. If both are available I am more than OK with it.

It does help a LOT to have a good announcer. Matt Simon is pretty darn good. I don't care for it when he has a 'non-softball' guest during games but, luckily, that does not happen too often!

It's always fun to me to guess who Coach is going to start on the mound. Especially this year with the large staff. And she always talks about 'matchups'. Watching film to decide the best matchups on a game by game basis.

Perhaps Lessentine and Grace today, with Lefty and Sidne getting the nod tomorrow (against FSU). Leavitt or Kate on Sunday.

Or, as Monty Python used to say, "and now for something completely different" !!

I think we will also see DeeDee again this weekend. Perhaps only on Sunday but maybe, just maybe, the second game today.

Coaching staff does not talk about injuries very often so it could be both. Big test will be tomorrow so we will find out then. She HAS talked about KK being the SS of the future.

Another big question - does Mac get her game back? Had one hit last weekend, opposite of the previous weekend. I think she will do well this weekend!

Lessentine gives up a walk but also gets three more strikeouts, making it six in two innings. 18 on the year.

Aggies have only two hits so far. Not good.

Had to step away and run some errands. Lessentine has had a good outing so far, Aggie batters being very patient at the plate.

Not a ton of strikes thrown. 7 walks makes it pretty ugly

Mac and Allie need to start hitting. Both may be replaced by someone hitting the ball. If Koko is healthy, she will be in the line-up. Amari needs to be in the line-up too.
