He will likely improve some, but I honestly thought his defense would be significantly more improved from last year and it just doesn't seem like it is yet.

Yeah, but I'm honestly pretty happy/optimistic with what I have seen. Starting pitching was a bit of a question mark, and it seems Patton may be able to fill part of that hole.
