Are we not getting physical tickets any longer? Did I completely miss that this year at season renewals?

Yeah, never mind, wife had put them in a cabinet and never told me they had been delivered.
I expect they'll go to all digital next year. I was kinda surprised that they didn't test them and the parking on baseball this season instead of waiting to do it on football in the fall.
for football they are digital next year, my guess is that will apply to all sports

That is my biggest "why does that bother me so much" complaint … but it does… I MISS PHYSICAL TICKETS FOR ALL EVENTS

Sadface. I love a paper ticket.
They have been mailing in the design of the paper tickets for years, though. I think they've been exactly the same for 3 years straight.
Nah, most movie theaters I go to just print you out a receipt.

I'm still mad that I had to spend $23 to special order a souvenir ticket from the college World Series last year. They should always give you the option

In Jimbo's first year I had four tickets to the Ol Miss game. I forget where I bought them but three of them scanned properly at the gate but the other one showed that it hadn't been paid for. Now how can you have an eticket on your phone that hadn't been paid for? My only option was to go to the ticket window, pay for the ticket again, then take it up with the athletic dept later. Fortunately we got to the game early so no one missed the KO. I've always been a bit paranoid about them since.

That's ridiculous. Do they even put your real section/row/seat number on it? I didn't think so.

I think there was a big kerfuffle last year where the system was down. Seems like a great idea to switch to only digital tickets in an area that notoriously has bad cell and wi-fi service!
I love e-tickets. I hate keeping up with paper tickets. I'm THRILLED that football parking passes are electronic this year.

The problem was that people hadn't downloaded their tickets yet. I put the entire season in my google wallet as soon as I get them.
In all honesty, I don't think I have used a single physical ticket for the last 2 season tickets and have had no issues with the electronic tickets BUT, as irrational as it is, I just like having physical tickets. It's purely a personal preference for me.

E-tickets are a lot easier but for a lot of games I keep the tickets for memorabilia purposes.
I'd love for there to be an option to go back after the game and request a physical be mailed to you. I'd even pay for the shipping (the CWS one was stupid because it was $23 not including shipping and a random seat that wasn't mine)
After cleaning out a couple houses AND seeing what all I'm gonna have to clean out of my parents, I keep lots of digital memories but not physical keepsakes.
I get that. I also don't typically care about the home games… it's the road games that I keep as small things from each venue. Also my Astros World Series tickets I would have loved to have a physical version to frame
